Our Mentorship Program
The Save 653 Mentorship Program is designed to equip high school young men, ages 16-20, with the mentorship, skills, and tools needed to be successful in every area of their lives, including education and career.
The program also offers sports activities and monthly outings that broaden their scope and potential future.
Students meet with mentors and take part in interactive courses such as etiquette, identity, college readiness, career readiness, and practical life skills.
Life-Skills Workshops
Students build character, personal presentation, identity, etiquette, goal-setting, and decision-making skills.
One-on-One Coaching
Trusted adults support students through compatible mentor matches, consistent coaching, and job performance guidance.
Career Exploration
Students explore digital and print media, culinary arts, first responder fields, copier technology, digital design, and Adobe training.
Career Readiness
Programming includes financial literacy, resume preparation, certifications, internships, and local employment preparation.
Career Partners
Training that connects to real opportunity
In partnership with Atlantic, Tomorrow's Office, Ricoh, and Konica Minolta, students participate in vocational training, receiving certifications in copier technology, digital design, and Adobe. Students are also exposed to and prepared for local employment opportunities upon completion.
Student Artwork
Creative work from Save 653 students

Trusted mentors change the trajectory.
Recreational retreats, spiritual retreats, community and family, road trips, youth events, career preparation, vocational training, certifications, internship opportunities, and job opportunities all support the program.
